Privacy

What the app does on your computer

Your focus sessions, stats, block lists and your dinosaur's progress are stored only on your own computer. The app does not send them to us. The app works fully without an account.

Each time it starts, the app checks a file on this site to see whether a new version is available. Like any website, our server can see your IP address and app version during this request; we don't use them to identify you.

If you create an account

Creating an account asks for your email address and a password; your name is optional. Your password never reaches us in plain text and is not stored by us; it is kept securely (one-way hashed) by our account provider, Supabase. Verification and password reset emails are sent to your address.

Your email address and name are used only to manage your account and to send you those emails. They are not shared with third parties and are not used for advertising.

Deleting your account

After logging in, you can permanently delete your account and the data linked to it at any time from the "Delete account" section on the My account page.

Browser extension

The DinoWall extension uses the addresses of the tabs you open only to compare them with the list of sites you have blocked. This check happens entirely on your computer: it does not record the pages you visit, your browsing history or tab contents, and does not send them to us or anyone else.

The extension talks only to the DinoWall app on your own computer (the local address 127.0.0.1) to get the block list and session time. It does not connect to any server on the internet. The extension has no account, advertising or analytics features.
